I finally stopped when Jordan died. He didn't like cigarette smoke and that was enough reason for me. I still do have the very occasional puff when offered at a party but haven't bought a pack in over 4 years. Good luck to your parents. If they want to stop, they will. That's what I've figured out :)

BTW, your mum looks like your doppelgänger! She quit many times. We learned to take comfort from the fact that the body starts recovering from the damage very quickly. And every respite was good for her body, even if it wasn't permanent.

Hope you have a great visit.Pamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13768027087753712341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4812399068967689986.post-33869897778968173462013-03-22T20:35:56.899-04:002013-03-22T20:35:56.899-04:00Send along our congrats to your parents! I know how hard it is, but it's very rewarding, not only to them, but to their family. My dad passed away 4 months ago from lung cancer after being a smoker for 45 years. He was diagnosed and passed 4 short weeks later. He had many failed attempts at quitting, but I can't help but think if he succeeded one of those times, he might still be here. Good job and good luck to your parents!
-Corbin's momma JennCorbinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17099985133525531865noreply@blogger.com
